On Saturday June 15th, All Together Link, the project to mitigate social isolation and loneliness, will come to a close, with a last event. The project was funded through a Community Health Board Grant with contributions from many others in the community but a special thanks to contributing labour organizations and especially the Halifax Dartmouth and District Labour Council.
This final event, being held 1-3pm on June 15th 2024 is going to be “Someone to go with” just as we did last June. This year as well as tea and conversation, and lists of free summer events, we are doing a Strawberry Shortcake Social and we are holding the event at Halifax North Memorial Library. Our events have had great, and poor, turnouts, so we hope you will come and share shortcake and conversation with us. How many will come, and will they be our target audience, of people with low incomes? It is a wait and see thing.
No matter what happens, this event will bring the Mitigating Social Isolation Project AKA All Together Link to a close.
