By Kendall Worth!
I am thinking back on my BLOG post dated may 31st, 2024 https://worthmatters.blogspot.com/2024/05/halifax-community-health-team-interview.html where the attached letter inviting me to attend this Conference in Toronto. Looking back on all the awards I ever won, https://worthmatters.blogspot.com/2023/11/to-clear-things-up-regarding-my-blog.html I consider this whole thing about being asked to travel to Toronto to attend a conference an achievement because the letter, you see posted in my May 31st Blog, written on my behalf, is an honour.
One major reason for attending this conference is because I am advocating for getting a Social Prescription/Social Prescribing organization up and running right here in Halifax Nova Scotia, where I live. Attending this conference will allow me to learn about what they do in other jurisdictions across Canada and around the world for Social Prescribing.
For other awards I had ever won see:

And for another Achievement from my Advocacy see this BLOG post https://worthmatters.blogspot.com/2023/09/all-together-link-mitigating-social.html about the Mitigating Social Isolation Project that eventually changed its name to All Together Link https://worthmatters.blogspot.com/search/label/All%20Together%20Link
I have decided that the opportunity to attend that conference is a good fit for me. After all for years I have been advocating for the existence of a Social Prescription Program, and social prescribing organization, in Halifax. Advancing Social Prescribing for Health and wellbeing is what this Conference is all about.

Something else I touch on in several of my BLOG posts is Social isolation
I touch on how social prescriptions and social prescribing organizations can play a role in solving some of the complex issues that members of the community, I advocate for through my blog, face in day-to-day life.
So the big question is will I be attending the Conference?
At this time, it is safe to say, there is a 75% chance I will be attending. I am working, as are others, to find me sponsorship and we are more than halfway there.
