A Big Thanks!

 By Kendall Worth!

In the view of people living in poverty, Jagmeet Singh continues to stick up for their rights! I invite you to check out the following tweet , then to listen to the video following the tweet.

And here is the Video https://twitter.com/i/status/1623755273969053697

I am writing this post, because the community of people I advocate for, continues to support what Jagmeet stands for. In this BLOG post there is another video of Jagmeet talking about inflation. Then, in this BLOG post I made the case that Jagmeet should become our next Prime Minister.

The Community I advocate for also wants to thank Bonita Zarrillo, as I did in this blog post, which shows her behaving like a huge champion for getting persons with disabilities, out of poverty.

Lately, the community of people living in poverty has been noticing evidence that the NDP’s actions (even if just votes in the house, or tweets and posts) have been speaking much louder than just words. People around me, agree with this sentiment even though the NDP has not been able to get us the Emergency Funds they have been asking for, while waiting for Bill C22 to pass. Bill C22 has passed 3rd reading, and is now working it’s way through the Senate, but, persons with disabilities are predicting we are not going to see this benefit for at least another year. In the eyes of the disability community, the NDP is the only political party that is fighting to get this bill moved along. People with disabilities thank the NDP for everything, and those with disabilities, that I am in touch with, support Jagmeet for our next Prime Minister.

In the meantime as I illustrated in my open letter to Senators I hope during the Senate debate, that they see the importance of getting Bill C22 moving along.

Senators are debating Bill C22 at a time when in Canada we are:

  • Seeing inflation continue to behave out of control

  • Seeing a major increase in the homeless population

  • Seeing more people with disabilities joining the homeless population.

  • People living in poverty not having the resources to keep up to date on what COVID restriction have been lifted, and now not have resource to find out how safely life is back to normal.

  • Provinces showing no interest in wanting to increase their welfare rates.

The NDP continues to make the message clear that things do need to change and government needs to do better.
