As many of you faithful readers of my BLOG already know, Every once in a while I do get asked by a loyal BLOG supporter, if I would be interested in advertising events which benefits the community of people I advocate for. I want to remind all of you readers, just because any of you sends me poster with a request to advertise a certain event on my BLOG, and even if the event is free, (Meaning no admission cost or Registration fee to participate) does not always mean I will advertise on my blog. See Here for the last time I said yes to advertising an event.
There have been two events over the last year that I have said no to advertising. In order to me to agree to advertise a public event on my BLOG, I need to either see:
-
The nature of the event needs to be something that will benefit the community I advocate for, through my BLOG. One major example is I advertise the Free Summer Events , because they are a benefit for people to maintain their mental health, as well as being free of charge. See Here for my promo of Canada Day 2025.
-
I also need to weigh the possibility of the people I advocate for being stigmatized. See: https://worthmatters.blogspot.com/search/label/stigma, or, if they safe from getting stigmatized by others even having anyone to attend such events with. There are ways people can attend free Summer events and avoid experienceing stigma. See Here for words of encouragement, advice, and guidance on how.
Remember readers, the people I advocate for through my BLOG are people who end up receiving thier income from programs like the Employment Support and Income Assitance Program in Nova Scotia, or other disability incomes, through no fault of their own. My BLOG is also about advocating for solutions to the issues that people I advocate for suffer from as a result of the system we have. Readers, I have said YES to advertising the event below, because the event in the poster promotes Disability Inclusion. Building an inclusive society is one solution to mitigating Social Isloation https://worthmatters.blogspot.com/search/label/mitigating%20social%20isolation and this is why I agreed to advertised this.
See below Poster for upcoming important event.
I encourage you to attend and I hope for a good turnout!
